Lume Cannabis Co., the largest single-state adult-use operator in the U.S., opens its 23rd Michigan location today in Saginaw.

The store is located at 3446 State St. and will be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays.

There are several marijuana facilities moving through the approval process in Saginaw right now, according to Mayor Brenda Moore. The Lume facility is one of the first in the city to open.

“It is going to be good for Saginaw, by creating jobs and another viable income, more resources coming in,” Moore told MLive.

The first 100 customers to make a purchase at Lume’s Saginaw store will receive a free Lume swag bag. Customers placing an order of $50 or more will receive their choice of a free 0.7g pre-roll or 2-pack of Lume edibles. All products are also 20% off today.

Lume offers more than 20 stains of cannabis flower, lines of effects-based Lume atridges and Lume Gummies, a line of Lume-branded CBD infused tinctures, balms and more. All Lume flower is grown in a new facility in Evart, Michigan by a team of trained and experienced growers. Lume-branded products are produced without harmful chemicals and go through the most rigorous testing in the industry to ensure they meet the highest standards for quality and safety, according to the company.

“Lume Cannabis Co. set an ambitious goal for 2021: To open 22 adult-use stores across Michigan, and the opening of our Saginaw store puts us well on our way to meeting this goal,” said Doug Hellyar, president and COO of Lume. “At Lume, we pride ourselves on offering an unmatched variety of safe and high-quality THC and CBD products, and we are excited to introduce our brand and show cannabis in a new light to more adult-use consumers in the Great Lakes Bay Region and beyond.”

So far this year, Lume has opened 10 adult-use stores and has plans to open a dozen more before 2021 ends, bringing its total number of Michigan adult-use stores to 40 by the end of the year, according to the company.

The ambitious effort is part of Lume’s goal of having 100 adult-use stores open throughout Michigan by 2024.

In June, the company announced a partnership with 313 Presents, a Detroit-based live entertainment company, making Lume the exclusive cannabis brand of 313 Presents’ DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston.

Lume operates stores in Adrian, Bay City, Big Rapids, Cadillac, Cedar Springs, Coldwater, Escanaba, Evart, Honor, Houghton, Iron Mountain, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Kalkaska, Lowell, Mackinaw City, Negaunee, Owosso, Petoskey, Petersburg, Saginaw, Sault Ste. Marie and Walled Lake.
